Tukkutorin Kala was founded in February 2016 at Helsinki's wholesale market, in the Teurastamo area. Three things work in the same shop: a traditional fish shop with service counters, a fish lunch restaurant and a fish wholesaler.
Before opening his own shop, owner Karl ”Kala-Kalle” Huttunen ran the fish counter of the Itäkeskus City Market for seven years, after ten years in the grocery trade. More than 20 years in the business.
